AKC CGC = Canine Good Citizen Skills- Our Platform for Service Dog Training
This Training, Evaluation & Testing does not make your dog a service dog. It is a minimum standard to meet and will give you some insight into Basic Guidelines & Goals we work on. Service Dog Teams log in HUNDREDS of HOURS of training. Vaccinations, Spaying/Neutering, Microchips, Good Grooming, Socialization, Identifiable TASKS that assist the Handler, Basic-Intermediate & Advanced Training Agendas.....all a part of our Protocol. A General Rule many Service Dog Training programs enforce - UNTIL YOUR DOG PASSES AKC CGC- you SHOULD NOT be wearing a Service Dog Vest. "In Training" insignia is generally accepted. You will find that there are many Registry and Service Dog "packets" for SALE available- but purchasing these things DO NOT MAKE YOUR DOG A SERVICE DOG.
An EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMAL or a THERAPY DOG is not an ASSIST or SERVICE DOG and do not have FULL PUBLIC ACCESS. They are allowed access under specific guidelines and for designated areas. PLEASE DON'T Be a POSER!

Deb & SCOOTER have worked steadily towards their AKC CGC Goal, at their own pace and in their own timing. Deb stuck to her guns and is working towards a THERAPY DOG agenda with SCOOTER, a very outgoing mixed breed. He is officially a TDIT (Therapy Dog In Training) with passing of his evaluation.
